You're not the only one who thought, "Night falls." at that moment. I was actually more surprised to hear the narrator actually say it.

Does anyone remember the brief stint of Bob Elliot on Garrison Keillor's radio show -- not "A Prairie Home Companion" but something like "American Radio Theatre"? Wherever they went on tour, they would do a mock documentary, and EVERY week, Eliot would say --

"Night falls, and _________ becomes a wonderland of lights!"
